John Hodder, 24 years old and from Essex, UK. I began to gain an interest in music back in 1995, my main memory was being round mates houses listening to people mix and taking to the decks myself. Once I started I couldn’t stop, mixing when I could with friends going out to local and London events and big events around my part of England.

The first time playing in a club was when I was about 17, before I even had my 12 10’s I warmed-up the night for Nicky Blackmarket who later played that night. I decided to get my own pair of decks when I was about 19, and started making a record collection, my favourite labels being Ram, Renegade Hardware and Valve to name a few.

After mixing in my bedroom for 3 years and getting bored of it I wanted to send some tapes and CD’s out to some people and try to find out how good people thought I was. I was handed a residency in London with twister made a guest appearance for Knowledge magazine and landed myself on a lot artist agencies, being Tendenzia UK, Label Spinners, Causal Agency in Austria, Sublunary Artist Management in the USA, Coffee Artists and Celebrity Talent to name a few. I was pretty proud of myself for doing all that with some demo’s as a completely unknown DJ doing so well straight away.

The next thing I wanted to do was to get myself on some radio stations, I started getting some shows on internet radio with PF Radio, Barebass Radio, Reputation FM, UK Bass Radio and Crew Connection Radio. I also put a bit of effort into doing some pirate radio, I have had a couple off prime-time shows on Origin FM based in London and a couple of shows on Ruud Awakening in London, which in 2006 I plan to do a weekly show which what was intended.

On the production front I have planned to produce years ago but never had the time to do so, I have recently started to get my studio together and samples etc… for 2006 where I will be studying a Music technology course which will be very interesting where I hope to learn a lot of good music skills for my music production where I plan to make house music and drum & Bass.

As for things abroad I have had a booking in Sweden and had interest in Germany, Belgium, Austria, Russia and the USA and hope to arrange some nights in 2006 in these places.

A big thanks to everyone at Knowledge magazine and Tak Tix Productions, Natasha@ Celebrity, Steve ‘Good’ Goddard, Charity Gallagher, Andy@ Tendenzia, Syras and Freeze, and everyone else.
